suse bug ? kde bug ? I am the bug ?
Hi... I try for over a week to make my tv card working properly... It does but I have no sound... If I use kdetv, the picture is ok, but no sound output... the same with tvtime... good quality for image but no sound The problem is that the sound work ok with other aplications, games, xmms, both under kde and gnome. but not whit my tv application. Under windows, on the same computer all is ok ! - but I use windows only for games that are not working with winex... Also, Any ideea how to make tvtime to work with KDE LIRC SERVER ? Please, if you guys have a little time look at my problem.... and maybe offer mi a soluttion
I have the same problem with a Pinacle TV Stereo card, on SuSE 9.1. I've assumed that the problem has to do with the drivers for the card, but I haven't got around to working on that yet. I had this problem with my Pinnacle PCTV Rave card on SuSE9.1 as well. The audio output of this card is connected through an external wire with the line input of my soundcard. It turned out that by default after installing SuSE9.1 the line input of the soundcard was switched off. After I switched it on it works as a charm. I had problems under SUSE8.1 with this card, I couldn't get all channels, and it froze the box from time to time. That is all history now with SuSE9.1 On Wednesday 26 May 2004 08:57, Jerome R. Mine is a PCI card as well. I had to connect the 'audio out' of my TV card with the 'line in' of my soundcard. There is no direct audio connection between the TV and the soundcard in my case. I'm really just throwing out a guess hwere but Isn't there some type of line out on the tv card that you are supposed to run to the line in on the sound card? This is the way I remember using a radio card... I have you gotten the card to work in windows? Armando Titiriga Dorin wrote:
