Is there a convenient program for monitoring cpu temperature? I'm running 12.3, KDE 4.10.5. kSysGuard has temp monitoring capability. I usually add a tab for the Hardware Sensors, then drill down to coretemp form the selection tree. Why are you still on KDE 4.10.5 when http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/411/openSUSE_12.3/ will get you upt to 4.11.4 which is very stable and very clean. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
KDE has several plasmoids monitoring temperature, which You can customize and place anywhere to desktop and/or panel(s).
All the best,

I like gkrellm with the coplandOS theme; it's also easy to start on a remote server via ssh x forwarding :) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for the tip. Obviously I do not have that repo -- I'll add. Once I get a new CPU cooler. The one I have is failing, which I now know for sure using the suggestions from the list. -- Fr David Ousley Church of St Michael the Archangel 6611 Ardleigh Street Philadelphia, PA 19119 215-247-1092 davidousley@verizon.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

There's a temperature monitoring plasmoid available in the "add widgets" widget... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Thanks! Probably the most obvious place to look, which did not occur to
me. So it goes. Thanks in any case for what I needed.

I just use the "Hardware Temperature" plasmoid. Right-click on desktop. Add Widgets. Type "temp" in the search box. Seems pretty good to me. HTH, Alvin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It's not suse or linux specific, but it has a nice graph for the previous 24 hours. Website says it will run on linux or windows, but have only tried the windows version.... http://openhardwaremonitor.org/
