I purchased an Ipod for my wife's birthday today and tried to get it to work with gtkpod. Since there were no files on it, I ended up setting it up with Windows which worked and I installed some music on it both from itunes and a cdrom. I then tried again with gtkpod 0.99.2 and libgpod 0.3.0. I can connect to the ipod mounted at /media/ipod, but cannot import anything. If I go to files, I can see the directories under /media/ipod, but if I click on one of the directories, I get the followingerror: The following track could not be processed (filetype unknown): '/media/ipod/iPod_Control/iTunes/iTunesControl' I can open these directories in Konqueror and go to /media/ipod/iPod_Control/iTunes/iTunesControl/Music/f00 and click on the .m4a which opens and plays in RealPlayer or and .mp3 which will open in amarok and plays. Looks to me like gtkpod is not recognizing the file type. The ipod was purchased today and is for both PC & MAC. The Ipod is automatically mounted by Suse at the mount point and it is USB 2.0. Any suggestions on getting this to work? Thanks in advance. Art

Problem was libgpod was ver 0.2, should be 0.3. after the update, I can read the ipod database. Art
