Can anyone tell me please if a Linux environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 is needed for anything special in SuSE 9.1? It might be interfering with my Subversion repositories and need to be changed. I don't want to spoil Firebird on the same machine. I'm running SuSE 9.1 Pro installed out of the box. I'm a Linux newby. I have already asked this on the Firebird list. Thank you Mike

It was sometimes needed for Java, I don't know if it was certain versions of Java or either older kernels. -- ====================================================== Glenn Holmer (Linux registered user #16682) ====================================================== "Greater coherence cannot be achieved.
