[SLE] v10.1 keeps resetting sound volume between boots
A new install of 10.1 wants to reset the sound volume to the midrange (which I cannot hear). I reset it to maximum in Yast so that I can hear it but when I boot, the volume is at or near the midrange. On sound the only thing that is constant is the I cannot hear it. v9.2 did not do this. Anyone have this problem?

I have the same problem using 10 on my laptop. My volume is set to 0 and I have to set it manually. If you are using KDE, just run kmix and leave it running while shutting down KDE. kmix will be restored on next login and restore the volume.
