Hi! I have a doubt whether "Tooltalk" is supported in KDE-Linux (SuSe). (It is supported in CDE). Tooltalk is a utility which is available in Unix Operating System, providing support for various tool communications. I would like to know if the same utility is available in Linux-KDE? If so how to use it and where can I get info related to it? Thanks in advance, Best regards, Rekha Project Engineer Wipro Technologies rekha.subbiah@wipro.com <mailto:rekha.subbiah@wipro.com> Confidentiality Notice The information contained in this electronic message and any attachments to this message are intended for the exclusive use of the addressee(s) and may contain confidential or privileged information. Rightfully so, there is no Tooltalk for Linux.

Maybe KDE's "dcop" would be an alternative for you? http://dot.kde.org/1001577974/ http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-dcop/?ca=dgr-kdeml01KD... There is, actually. It's maintained by The Open Group, and the linux version is maintained by Xi Graphics CDE ToolTalk, insofar as it uses any graphics at all, uses Motif. This will work under KDE, you don't need to be running CDE for it to work
