OK.... this is probably just me being young and inexperienced at these things but here goes: I am trying to get my s3 video card to run X in 16bpp and 1024*768 resolution. After d/loading and trying to run sax, (the only way I could get the server to startup) I discovered that the monitor is recieving no signal... or at least the power management light comes on... Now I am using a Samtron monitor, and in the handbook it does say that it can handle the stuff I want. I can get that resolution and depth in Win98 so I know it can't be a hardware problem. Does anyone have any hints as to how to make the darned thing work? Many thanks...
