I am encountering something kinda odd and thought perhaps someone on this list could assist me. The problem is in the static IP assigned to an add-in card keeps flip flopping on restarts to either eth1 or eth2. I am running SuSE 9.3 fully patched. Thanks. -- Jason Gerfen "You will never be ready for me." ~ Me

Once I had the same problem, I have removed wondershaper, and this glitch disappear. Cannot understand background of this problem... Anyone, please explain....

How are you assigning it? There should be scripts in /etc/sysconfig/network/ for each NIC, where the script name contains the MAC address for the card. If you use those, it's hard to get them mixed up. If you try to config "eth0" etc., that may cause your problem.
