I recently upgraded KDE and Gnome through apt, (synaptic more exactly) on SUSE 9.3. However, now none of my gnome icons show up properly in KDE as they did prior. Can anyone point me to the correction for this. My searching is working ( yea, its probably a user problem :-O! ) -- See Ya' Howard Coles Jr. John 3:16!

No, it is a problem with the latest KDE update. The icons are plainly missing in /opt/kde3/share/icons. What i did to solve it is based on the fact that i had a backup of the old directory. In detail: In /opt/kde3/share/icons - /default.kde is a symbolic link to the /crystalsvg directory (i.e. my chosen theme) - In /crystalsvg the following directories were missing: -- default -- gnome1 ( a symlink to /opt/gnome/share/pixmaps) -- gnome2 (a symlink also to /opt/gnome/share/pixmaps) I added those manually and all is well again. A shameless hack yes... Peter
