I know I always start out by complaining about what's wrong with a release. I guess I've done that yet again - though I had the good taste to blame it on the other OS I am forced by economic necessity to have installed. I'm too tired to say a lot about 8.1 right now, but I do want to say that I like a lot of the features I've found so far. The followup to installations was pretty helpful. That is, the thing that checks to see if you have any .rpmnew, or .rpmsave files. The only problem was, I wasn't careful and mistook one .rpmsave for a .rpmnew, and overwrote the wrong file. I'm happy to seen a lot of the functionality returning to YaST. They obviously released before they had the whole thing finished, and there are some rough edges, here and there. Overall, though, we have yet another outstanding release of the best operating system in the world. Thanks again SuSE! Job well done. Steven
