Does everyone on this list have their reply-to set to their own email address?
Seems unlikely to me, but I have recently started using runbox's web interface most of the time and when replying to a post I always have to edit it to go back to the list.
That's how this list is configured. Reasons are on the FAQ. Method for getting the FAQ is written below your signature.
Yes, I know, but with most mail clients, if the "reply-to" setting is left blank, any reply to a list post will go to the list, not the sender. I know this is a tired old topic, but my question is slightly different. Can someone tell me what comes up in their "to" box when replying to one of my posts? Interestingly, I thought I'd take another look at the FAQ, but a mail to suse-linux-e-faq elicited a request-for-confirmation to subscribe to suse-announce-usa! Worked on the second go, though. David

The list address. Take a look at the headers of any mail to this list and you'll find "Reply-To: suse-linux-e@suse.com". -- Homepage http://scott.exti.net XFce desktop environment http://www.xfce.org Goodies for the XFce desktop http://xfce-goodies.berlios.de GPG public key ID: 811B00AB

Yep, never mind me. Either I'm a dumbass or I need more caffeine (or both). In KMail, you can tell it that a folder contains a mailing list, and set the post address appropriately. Actually, the headers for your message show "Reply-To: scott@exti.net".

comes up in my To:, using Mozilla Mail. I always use reply all and delete the OP and change the CC to To. That is SOP for this list for years.
I've added this list to my address book, with the nickname "SLE", so I simply highlight the original address and enter "sl", which then pulls up the list address.

Thanks all - seems 50-50 list-sender. Quite a few personal replies - deliberate or otherwise! I'll just need to be more careful when replying. Sorry to bring up this old chesnut. David
