Hi All, Does anyone know of an application which would let me define reference points in two (or more) images such that the two can be overlaid on each other. Specifically, I am hoping to lay images of maps over aerial photos and other maps, so the software would need to be able to calculate the necessary rotation and re-scaling to fit an overlaid image to a base image. Thanks for any suggestions. Dylan -- "I see your Schwartz is as big as mine" -Dark Helmet

ImageMagick is the ideal tool for this sort of image manipulation - I'm not sure I understand your precise needs, but ImageMagick can do a very wide range of image manipulation. Note that it is mainly a command-line driven tool, if you want something interactive you should probably use the Gimp. Have a look at http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graphics/imagick6/ for a pile of examples of how to use ImageMagick, and of course www.imagemagick.org for the main distribution (though it should be in all releases of SuSE) - Korny -- Kornelis Sietsma e-mail: korny at my surname dot com
