I hate to use the command line SSH client. Does anyone know any free graphical SSH client? Thank you.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by a GUI to what is a protocol, but there is a package that comes with SUSE called kssh - basically just comes up as a shell with some niceties built in relating to ssh. Just search un YaST/Install and Remove Software and search for "ssh". Neither do they throw parties for the urban proletariat."
The problem is that I really don't want the shell window. I use it when I want to navigate and search the server I'm using. When I just want to upload and download files on the many subdirectories, I need a fast navigation. Kssh doesn't really add much to the command-line ssh I was already using... :-\ The only graphical client I know is that one from SSH Communications Security (www.ssh.com), but, of course, it isn't free...

For file uploading and downloading I'm assuming you're talking about sftp. Most GUI ftp clients support sftp. You can also use konqueror, just use the URL fish://machinename/

Yes, I think Anders is correct...you're probably thinking of sftp, amongst other things. "ssh" is a protocal for connecting and doing various tasks securely...it's not inherently a file browser, transfer program, or a secure X windows - it's merely a protocol that any number of programs can support or not. It's becoming so popular nowadays, you'll find many current apps, such as konqueror, support it already. You can use the fish:// pseudo-protocol in Konqueror for this: fish://<user>@<server-address>/ will pop up a password dialog and then show the root directory of the server HTH Dylan -- "I see your Schwartz is as big as mine" -Dark Helmet
Thanks everyone for clarifying! It worked. :-)
