RE: [SLE] pcmcia wireless card

Can anyone recommend a pcmcia wireless card that will just work after
I insert it, or work with a minimum of fuss?
I can vouch for the Lucent Orinoco WiFi card. I bought one several months ago and have yet to have a single issue with it working under Linux with 3 different laptops... http://castle.pricewatch.com/search/search.idq?&CiBookMark=N-1e33790-a2c 8c9-10&cr=orinoco&qc=%22ORINOCO%22%2A&CiBookmarkSkipCount=-15 should be a good start to find one. </snip> My two cents... I had heard great things about the orinoco cards, and actually I don't recall ever seeing a post on "why won't this thing work?" for those cards so that is probably a good way to go. I am personally using a linksys v.3 card, which I did get to work, however I had problems with the prism2 drivers and had to use the ornioco ones (I'm running 8.1 prof. on a vaio laptop) so I guess that'd be another reason to go with the orinoco card.
