I am sorry if this is easy, but I've got stuck and would be grateful for some guidance. This has happened on two installs (both friends I'm trying to convert to Linux) They both have USB printers, my parallel one works fine). echo -en "\rHello\r\f" >/dev/usblp0 works echo -en "\rHello\r\f" >/dev/usb/lp0 doesn't CUPS points to /lp0 I don't have the skill to configure CUPS to point to /usblp0 and do all the other stuff. I'm also not sure that is the right thing to do. I don't want to stuff things up by fiddling around. Do I need to "ln" the files? Or is there something else? Grateful for any assistance. TIA
