-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, some time ago, I removed pulseaudio because it didn't let me use my soundcard in analog/full duplex mode. Now I reinstalled it for testing and, well, full duplex works but I have some other issues. First of all, I don't see any device list in Phonon. Normally, there should be a list of devices to priorize. But it looks like this: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k26/sgofferj/screenshot10.png I would like to have the priority list back... :) Then I would like to know how I can make specific devices use specific outputs. I use the Flightgear flightsim and with it comes a voice com program, fgcom. It does accept parameters for input/output device and has a list option. However, the list option only shows "default" for in and for out. Ideally, I would like fgcom to use the front mic/front headset while the general sound goes through the 7.1 rear connectors. Maybe you should try pavucontrol. It allows to define the output for specific programms. Am 04.02.2012 04:07, schrieb Stefan Gofferje:

You can set per-audio-stream devices in kmix's Playback/Capture Streams tabs, right click the app's audio stream and select 'Move' to send it to a particular device. Move is greyed out. I would suppose that it because there are no devices in the Phonon device list? - -- (o_ Stefan Gofferje | SCLT, MCP, CCSA //\ Reg'd Linux User #247167 | VCP #2263 V_/_ Heckler & Koch - the original point and click interface 02:26am up 1 day 22:25, 4 users, load average: 0.11, 0.13, 0.23 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.18 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAk8vHoUACgkQbQKZlCdPOMN6kACgjMamNl39Oi0rHZqjwao9UAI3 eCcAnRgt8XxOzv2tvqDee8H7uoDDCsDr =wsMI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Nope, under PulseAudio only the virtual PulseAudio devices are shown in the Phonon device list. The actual devices are only visible on the Move submenu. Do you actually have multiple sound devices, or are your rear speakers just on a different output from your only sound card? Otherwise, are you able to see different devices with pavucontrol?
