[opensuse] Kmail folder question
I am in the process of setting up a new machine w/suse 10.2. I have seen snapshots of Kmail with main folder groups like the 'Local Folders' group ' inbox outbox sent-mail trash drafts 'but have not found out how to do this. I tried some googleing and the suse help. I have several email's and would like to seperate things a little more. Any info appreciated. Thanks, Mike. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Do you mean to add more folder to Local folders? Right click on Local folders and there it is. -- Regards, Rajko. http://en.opensuse.org/Portal -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks, Mike. You can create new folders under local group (ex: I have Scribus, Gimp, Kde etc for mail lists and folders like Lions, Hold for review, etc) Highlight local folder then right click select new folder and name it.) To get incoming emails automatically to the folder use Settings --> Configure filters. Then set up the filter .
Hope this helps. works fine for me since SUSE 9.0, using 10.2 now. -- Russ Linux register user 441463 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yup, I know about making new folders, sub folders, and filters as I have all of that now, but if you notice that 'Local Folders' is in the first tier of the 'Folder List', I have see screen shots with other folders in the main tier of the list, this is what I am after. This is what you get when you set up a new IMAP account. In this case, Mike@Sbc would be the name of the account. The definition of "Local" means that any folder you create locally ends up under Local Folders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I guess that because I am POP-ing thats why I could not get the folder list that way, is there any other way to get the same end, not looking to install mail servers etc, may just have to stay the way it is. Thanks for the info Anders, I'll have to check and see if my ISP offers IMAP after I read up a bit.
