I have a very disturbing problem with ps2pdf giving me very awful looking documents.
They also look awful here... I never found a solution. It prints fine, though.
They look awful (unreadable) with xpdf, but fine with acroread, although they display very sloooooowwwly. Using ghostscript 7.0 gives some improvement, download it (not from SuSE, they aren't allowed to ship it). Volker

I saved some documents in Kword and then used Kword's print to pdf file feature. The exported pdf's are legible when using Times font. The *.pdf's also had embeded jpegs. They read just fine in xpdf. Very nice in Acroread. Helvetica didn't work in xpdf but it did work in Acroread. -- Cheers, Jonathan

I think I'm going to try the GPL version 6.51. My version is 5.5. Why does not SuSE ship 6.51 released as GPL on June 5 2001? /Stefan
