Just a brief reminder of what my original question was: Here's the error I'm getting installing from a harddrive:

Cannot read package data from installation media. Media error? * ERROR: No proposal

I'll give up on this and burn CDs. I've already burned the boot.iso CD. But the suse/i586 directory has no subdirectories and 3.0GB of rpms. How do I get the appropriate files on to the appropriate CDs such that I can insert "Setup CD 1" or whatever when prompted? Or, more generally, how can I burn these files (3.0GB in a single directory) onto a collection of CDs so that I can install properly. Many thanks to any helpful hints, Jim
