[opensuse] 11.0a2 NTP Question
I apologize for the 11.0 questions here, but I'm not sure if they're something that should be reported elsewhere.... Going into YaST (you changed the icon!!) > Network Services > NTP Configuration the first time I got some error message. Unfortuantely, I didn't take note of it. I was able to set NTP to be loaded at boot and tested the random server successfully. However, my clock hasn't changed. I went and launched ntp from the cli and then got a subsequent message. Something I'm doing wrong? bigbottom:/home/perfectreign # /etc/init.d/ntp start Starting network time protocol daemon (NTPD)***Permission denied ***Permission denied ***Permission denied ***Permission denied ***Permission denied -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Any Apparmor audit events? /var/log/audit/audit.log? Any entries in /var/log/messages? The questions should be better in opensuse-factory. Ciao, marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I guess this requires adaption of the AppArmor profile for ntpd. Pelase open a bug with above informations. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
