Then you might need to create such a file.
When setting chmod on that file, it goes with error, saying that chmod is invalid.
chmod 600 .fetchmailrc Bill Moseley mailto:moseley@hank.org -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
Hello, Bill!
When setting chmod on that file, it goes with error, saying that chmod is invalid.
chmod 600 .fetchmailrc
It says "error", when chmod is different. But it says "no mailservers found", when chmod is 600. When run from startup, fetchmail can not access /root/.fetchmailrc, as it uses, I suppose, different user from root. And other users do not have access to root folder, and especially to .fetchmailrc. This message is also forwarded to kfr@suse.de - the author of example script to run fetchmail as daemon. Thanks, George. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
