alas, I know many suse users without adsl, only modem... of course for my friends this is not an issue (I'm here :-), but they are others. hopefully a french newspaper have a 10.2 dvd this month. But at least there should be online stores (european, for lox postage) with 10.2. Is there at least some that can sell to France? I know some in belgium, but don't know if they do thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net Le manuel d'optique de Lucien Dodin http://lesprismes.free.fr/optique/index.html -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hello jdd I am in France and I bought my SuSE 10.2 boxed set from Germany since I could not buy it from my usual French dealers. You can find it there : http://www.edv-buchversand.de/novell/url.php?cnt=opensuse10_2 I had some trouble with the German language but succeeded in the end. There is a man who can write some messages in English, his name is Tobias; You can join him at halo@edv-buchversand.de I could pay in Euros by credit card It cost me 59.95 Euros Plus 7.96 Euros for shipping and package. Do not forget to mention you want an English version, if you are no more familiar than me with the German language. The reference number for the English version is SUS171 Good luck ! -- Paul Ollion Proud Linux user SuSE 10.2 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

http://www.novell.com/products/opensuse/resellers/europe/ If you click on France (on the map) then for some reason you are directed to the Belgien reseller list (which is long). I assume that means that there really is no French reseller for openSUSE. But then the redirect to the Belgien reseller list seems to indicate that you should be able to get it from them. Or it might be a mistake. Michael? I did the same, but don't know for belgium resellers - many do usually, but for this? jdd Yes, it was 10.2 with 17$ shipping. Your link is OK. I used to buy there : http://www.mcd2-diff.fr but they don't sell 10.2. I sent them a mail and they told me that

http://www.suseshop.nl/ offers shipment of 10.2 boxes to France - at € 12,50 shipment Just some backround. We don't offer french boxes and french manuales anymore due to the small market we had in France. It was just to expensive. And I'm not happy at all with the expensive shipment we offer through shopNovell. I know. I remember the era when SuSE was one big french distro. I remember also the way Mandrakesoft took precedence (I call this dumping) and the problem SuSE had with it's french representative... too bad :-( are there still available french Novell manuals (I don't remember the distro number, may be 9.1 - first Novell one. The manual was _very good_ and still very usefull), I'm sure this could be valuable jdd -- http://www.dodin.net Le manuel d'optique de Lucien Dodin http://lesprismes.free.fr/optique/index.html -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Nope. Novells shipper uses USPS priority mail for Canada ($4.80) but will not offer that same convince to US customers insisting on using an "overnight" service which cost me $39.00 to Alaska. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

And of course, "overnight" in Alaska could mean six months. ;-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

same question here http://cheapiso.com/product_info.php?products_id=345 I understood that copy is only legal (comercial copy) if all Novell logos are removed. do you know if this is the case for these two companies (how can I know that?) thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net Le manuel d'optique de Lucien Dodin http://lesprismes.free.fr/optique/index.html -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
