SuSE9-LiveEval is having trouble talking to my notebook modem. The modem is one of the infamous winmodem/neo-modems ... it reads-out as an "Intel Corp. 82801DB AC'97" but the notebook company says it is an "Agere Systems AC'97 Modem" I have tried everything on the KPPP list of options from /dev/modem down through /dev/ACM3 -- I get "unable to locate modem" (/dev/modem), "modem does not respond" (/dev/ttyS0), or "modem busy" (/dev/ttyS3). Informed thoughts, please? Thanks! doc
