[S.u.S.E. Linux] YaST is being very annoying!
Dear SuSE'ers, This is more of a gripe that needs a solution, When configuring my modem settings for a ppp connection rather than having to boot up YaST to set the com port for my modem I decided to change the symbolic link that goes between /dev/modem and /dev/ttyS? ...When I then re-booted my machine I found that the config files had changed it back again! ;-( I then had to go into YaST and change it in there to keep this setting permanent. Why has the SuSE distribution been developed this way...Why don't they let the system boot up without these horrible way of changing bits and pieces? Please could someone give me some enlightenment on this subject...And if there is a way to fix this annoying problem could someone give me some advise on rectifiing this... Dan.
