First you need to supply more info if you are requesting help. What raid controller do you have, SCSI, IDE? What brand/model of controller is it? Booting from CD/DVD should not be a problem unless the raid controller is not supported, as in my case. If the system was booting before creating the raid set then you have lost all of your data as creating the raid set wipes out any info on the disk that was incorporated into the raid set. I am in the middle of building a new system with an unsupported SATA IDE raid controller and so far have received the sources from the manufacturer and was able to create the kernel module with the help of Anders (thanks again). More info will supply more help. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
