[SLE] 10.1 updates and 128 MB of memory - does that work now?
Hello, The original 10.1 update process had huge resources demands. E.g., I was not able to install it on a system with 128 MB of main memory. (This is a firewall, btw.) Can anybody tell me if that problem is solved now, with the new update-updates? It would spare me an install and a potential restore. ;-) TIA for any answers, Joachim -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Joachim Schrod Email: jschrod@acm.org Roedermark, Germany -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Not its not solved. You can however just fallback to use YaST Online Update, which has a bit less memory requirement. (But still _a lot_). Thanks for the quick answer. The current installation (9.1) uses YOU, so this might work; I'll give it a try. I was able to do it on a 667 PIII. You have to have a large swap
partition.
