All of you can use the OS that is the best for you. Also you can say all that you want about that OS, and say bad thigs of
"other" OS. That you can't do is to stop fighting for nothing. This is because the human needs (al least looks like that) to fight whit other for some reason, no matter what reason is it. This is like that war where nobody knows why is fighting (they don't remenber that) but still fight. So, what if it's Linux, Windows, Mac, Unix, DOS, Netware, etc?. From my point of view this list (and all the mail lists) are for help and be helped in some area. In fact this list is to discuss about SuSE Linux, not for write about how bad is Windows. At least for me. Let's write about information technology, because this is why almost all of us are here. Sorry about this off-topic in the list. Martin.
PS: No one OS is perfect because they are made by people.

So you're still running fat 16 then?! That can't be very efficient.
And how exactly do you upgrade a hard drive without reformatting?
And what exactly do you think you're doing when you're 'upgrading' from one winversion to the next, if not *reinstalling*!
However, if your definition if re-installation is reformatting/repartitioning then you can that is very, very possible with linux. There was a
from the old minix file system to ext2 some time in the distant past, but apart from that I can see no *forcing* reason to reformat! Ever!

I never said a single bad thing about windows. I was merely pointing out that the previous poster was full of * and was merely trying to stir up argument. That was also why I inserted [TROLL] in the subject. But you're right, we shouldn't be wasting bandwidth on this. In the words of some mail admin DIE THREAD, DIE, DIE! Sorry guys if I seem 'out of sync' - but to all of you with serious B A N D W I D T H - I live in a country where the monopoly telco provides the backbone - with only 8Mbps for the whole country (and half of that is asymmetric (2 up 4 down) Slows things down just a bit! If the process was running on Windows you wouldn't need to kill it. It would have crashed by now of its own accord :)
