Hi Everybody! Okay, I've just installed SuSE8.2. The installer didn't recognize my wheel mouse the way that SuSE8.1 did. Can somebody tell me what I need to do to my /etc/X11/XF86Config file to make it work? I assume that that's where it would go. While I've got your attention, is anyone out there successfully using a Wacom GRAPHIRE2 tablet under SuSE Linux? Anyway, Happy Easter, everybody! -- JAY VOLLMER JVOLLMER@VISI.COM TEXT REFS DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD SELFTHINK VERGING CRIMETHINK IGNORE FULLWISE

The bloody installer saw my Logitech Wheelmouse and actually let me use the wheel during install. Now that was sweeeet. I will put in my only gripe far with 8.2..the damn popup discriptions during install..those are hella annoying. They need to DIE or at least be able to be turned off. Anyway..I'll just go back to the happy corner. :) -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I'll tell you what you should see.

Had the same issue with my 8.1 version, dunno why...But here is what you want: Put this in the InputDevice section: Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

Saw something about that with 8.1, something about tablet setting under hardware in yast...Cannot remember where as I don't have a tablet and I don't have SuSE 8.2 yet, so two strikes against me :). But hopefully I can get your wheel to work.
Anyway, Happy Easter, everybody!
You too. Matt

I have a Graphire2 tablet. You have to go to YaST2->Hardware->Graphics Card and Monitor to configure it. YaST2 starts SAX2 then you can configure input devices Wacom is one of the options under tables. I haven't used it much yet but it does appear to work. I will have to try gimp in the morning.
