[SLE] mc segfaults on 6.4
Hi! I have just upgraded my laptop from suse 6.2 to suse 6.4 (eval), and have found out that mc segfaults every time in console, but works in xterm?? ldd shows that all the libs are in place... there are no other errors, just Segmentation fault in console and everything works in X11's xterm. Any clues how to fix it? THX in advance! Try reinstalling mc with the latest rpm from suse. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

I forgot,....it may be the gpm mouse problem. Suse ships mc with gpm support built in and when in console mode, it produces alot of error messages if gpm is not turned on. Gpm gets disabled in X, so maybe that's it. Still it shouldn't crash unless there is some weird incompatibility with your laptop trackpad. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

There was also something with the library needed by mc (look into the dependencies). Reinstall this, something got wrong with it.
