1. I love the [OT] thing - great idea ;-) 2. Ok, I hate to sound so lame but, I really like Eudora for windows. The thing I like the most is the multiple mailboxes/folders and especially the FILTERS - great for mailing lists. Is there currently any mailing app for Linux that does filters in this manner? Will Evolution have filters? exmh supports both filters and multiple mailboxes. I personally use procmail to do the filtering since it is straightforward. Although Eudora's filtering capabilities are good, procmail is much more powerful. Exmh is actually a tcl/TK interface to mh (or nmh). Folders in mh are standard Linux directories. MH maintains messages as a single file per message making it easier to edit outside of the email package. One real advantage is that you can use the X interface (exmh or xmh), or you can use the command line interface. The exmh interface is a bit different from Eudora, but the whole package is much more powerful and configurable. On 23 Aug 2000, at 15:06, Jonathan Wilson wrote:

JW, Yes Evolution will have filters. However, have you checked into KMail 1.2 from the KDE Project? KMail 1.2 which comes with KDE 2.0 Beta (versus the current 1.1.2 version) has pretty much every feature of Outlook Express, and I would imagine Eudora. Unlike Evolution, KMail (and KDE 2.0 in general) is almost ready for prime-time (estimated release date is September 4th), so for a solution right now I think you will be really pleased with KMail. -Tim ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R.
