[opensuse] Thunderbird settings don't stick
Using openSUSE Leap 42.2 and KDE Frameworks 5 I've recently started using chromium as my default browser rather than firefox. Thunderbird is my email client, and I would like clickable links in email messages to open in chromium. However, every time I change these strings in the Thunderbird config network.protocol-handler.app.ftp;/usr/bin/firefox network.protocol-handler.app.http;/usr/bin/firefox network.protocol-handler.app.https;/usr/bin/firefox to point to /usr/bin/chromium the settings silently reset themselves to firefox. I have even uninstalled firefox, but it still happens. I have also changed my preferred browser in System Settings. What am I missing, or is this broken behaviour? If the latter, is it Thunderbird, KDE or openSUSE that is causing the problem? The setting I had to change was in Thunderbird > Edit > Preferences > Attachments. http & https were both set to Use default. I had to set these to Use chromium.
