I have Linksys BEFW11S4 AP and my built in Cisco wireless adapter gets associated but that's it. When I do ifup eth1 I don't see any IPv4 or dhcp packet being sent out (using tcpdump), only IPv6 packets. When I use hard cable connection to the same wireless AP/switch I get IP address with no problem and tcpdump shows it too. I'm sure linksys box is ok, because my Windows box using Cisco 340 PCMCIA wireless adapter can get associated and get IP with no problem too. Anybody have any idea what may be wrong here? Yast sees the adapter as well, but when doing ifup I get bunch of errors as below. Thx, Martin ERROR: command 'iwconfig eth1 mode Automatic' returned Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) : SET failed on device eth1 ; Invalid argument. ERROR: command 'iwconfig eth1 nick linux' returned Error for wireless request "Set Nickname" (8B1C) : SET failed on device eth1 ; Invalid argument. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
