Re: [S.u.S.E. Linux] PPP dialup failure

When I punch in ppp-go the modem sits there and stare at me. No dial tone or anything. The modem is a USRobitics Sportster Voice 33600 internal.
This is getting very frustrating to me. I have tried the suggestions on this help listing, suse PPP: Modem does not dial support database sheet and suggestions from a number of users, especially Zentara. What should I do next?
I've got the same modem as you and i had some problems with it cause it wasn't well configurated. I'm not sure it's the same problem but as you, it was functionning under minicom and wasn't dialling with my script for pppd. I fix the problem with a : etserial /dev/cua2 auto_irq skip_test autoconfig spd_vhi In fact, i uncommented this line in the /sbin/init.d/serial script and just added the "spd_vhi". I also chose to use ezppp (and now kppp, really good :) ) instead of a direct script for pppd, it's *really* more convenient.
