I am running Win98 under win4lin in Suse 8.0 and it works better than in native mode. Only run Quicken though because there is no GNU equivalent that has online banking. Please be aware that you have to install Win4Lin, and then REINSTALL all your windows programs. For some things that have been upgraded thru the years, that will include installing some progroms that you may not be able to find easily, just to install the present version. AutCadLT comes to mind. Corel 97 or 2000 come to mind. However, if you install Win4Lin on a separate drive, you MAY be able to point to the drive where these programs are installed, and reinstall them under W4L by referencing the drive where they exist. (In Windows.) Maybe. I almost bought Win4Lin at the NY Linux show, last January. Then I found out I would have to start from scratch, rather than just import programs. UGH. Please let us know how you make out if you use win4lin. I'd be very interested. Thanx--doug At 14:44 08/30/2002 -0700, Art Fore wrote:
