Dear All, I recently posted a problem with SCSI disks and I received the following reply: When using shared scsi make sure the hostid is different for both machines. There's a lilo (or at module insert time) boot parameter for this. Now I have a solution, but no idea how to implement it! Could someone please tell me (step by step - I'm a bit thick!) how I check what the host ID of my machines are, and if they are the same how do I change it! Many Thanks Mike

See http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2001-Sep/2834.html I think you can also pass the magic through lilo. -- -ckm
