get erors . using smbpasswd i get the following

horizon:~ # smbpasswd -a jack ERROR: empty passdb backend list! New SMB password: Retype new SMB password: invalid pdb_context specified! Failed to add entry for user jack. Failed to modify password entry for user jack

Ok I got it fixed I uninstalled the samba-pdb package an it works now. Not sure why that was installed or what its for but it working now. thanks to all who responded to my question. After sleeping on it for the night I saw what might be the problem this morning an uninstalled that an now both webmin an smbpasswd will work jack
