Yes I try as user and as root . And al problems described in first letter are ONLY when I loggin via KDM or XDM as normal user not root.If I loggin via console 'all' is O.K.

I got the same problem when I am root (example) and do a # su - myuser $ xclock & then I just do # xhost mymachine (here is as root, the first user who accessed X) and as MyUser $ export DISPLAY=:0.0 $ xclock &

and it works povided my network settings are correct (I can "telnet mymachine", ping it,....)

I can telnet withmy machine. It's pitty but don't , after Xhost: Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: Client is not authorised to connect to Server xhost: unable to open display ":0.0" If I change DISPLAY to sp5rdu the same with "sp5rdu:0.0" Wojtek
