[SuSE Linux] Kppp...revisited
Ok, so the wvdial thing failed on my box. Why, nobody is sure. Not even wvdial has an answer. It absolutely can't find my modem. So I have gone back to trying Kppp since it could at least dial out, and what do I learn but that I needed to enter commands in a script (duh) and I never tried this before. See the light bulb over my head? :) Expect login Send my login-ppp Expect password Send my password This is all logical, but it sticks at the password part and I get disconnected. Here is my question (finally): does the password need extra text, same as my login needed to have -ppp added to it? Or is there a 5th command that is needed? Such as "Start ppp"? Additionally, at the suggestion of my ISP, I have renamed /pap-secrets so it wouldn't be used. That isn't a problem here. Advice? Thanks.
