OpenSUSE 12.2

I'm getting messages like

in my messages file. I put the following debugging in /etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/functions.netconfig:

Notice how it is starting up a bunch of netconfig in parallel. Why is this happening? (I'm using NetworkManager for my interfaces).
