Hi, I've got SuSE 8.0. It installed fine. During boot there is a little peace of music. In Yast2 - Sound, there is a soundcard found which looks the right thing. I could test the volume, and there was a great sound. But I'm not quite that lucky trying to play a CD disk. Clicking the icons on the Desktop just come back with the answer like: "Wasn't able to mount the device. The rapported fault was /dev/cdrom In/Out fault Couldn't decide the type of filesystem and now one was told" Well, just about that, tried to translate it from swedish.... If I try to mount the cdrom by hand in a term window, I get about the same answer. Can anyone give me a hand on this? And, please, some tips. Which programs do You use to play CDs and DVDs and so on? Regards, Thomas

Hi Thomas, you can't mount an audio cd. Just use any of the cd player apps, like KsCD or use xmms (play location). To watch dvd's you could use Ogle or Xine. Marcel
