Fw: [SLE] Crossover and Picasa
Sorry Kai, haven't had that problem before responding to a list email - and only have it go to someone off list. Begin forwarded message: On Tue, 20 Jun 2006 17:54:54 -0500 Kai Ponte wrote:
Yes, it is. It runs perfectly on my system, though. I've been using it instead of GIMP or KFoto for simple image editing. (I love the I'm feeling lucky and warmafy.)
Yes, it runs just fine here as well. I haven't out right "replaced" any other software with it - but am giving it a go as sort of a "all-picture" photo album. Gwenview is nice in that manner, I just don't have all my pics in one location. Besides, it's nice just helping with the stats so to speak, the kind where they look at what type of OS their software was d/l'ed for. Not sure it helps in this case though! OT; Running Google Earth as well and am impressed. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

If you are looking for something that will create an HTML picture album take a look at JAlbum. It works quite well and processes pictures in sub dirs. It runs native in linux and can be found here: http://jalbum.net/ -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

This is going off-topic... ...but far be it for me to stray in that direction. :) JAlbum is very good as well. It can create some awesome HTML photo albums. I haven't published any yet, but I've been testing. It is a Java application and - like LimeWire or Azareus - runs perfectly well in any environment. Thea developer has created a nice install routine which works great in SUSE. (I have the Java 1.5.x and 1.6 environments. I don't know how it runs on GNU Java.) I'd love to see JAlbum added to the Software repository. -- kai - www.perfectreign.com www.livebeans.com - the new NetBeans community http://welcome.twysted.net/ -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

the first attempt to replying to your msg shows you as the only person it was sent to - 'least it shows that on my end. Not sure but maybe you have a filter or something setup if you didn't get it.

I myself am not really interested in a web album of any sort. Played with Gallery in the past, just couldn't get the relatives to "use it" - which is why I did that in the first place.
