How can I register to get 90 days support
I bought an official version with licence key of SuSE 10.0. Neighter on Novell, nor on opensuse homepage I can find, how to register the version. Isn't there any installation support since 10.0. regards Alois

of course it's on the SL 10.0 homepage. Simply click in the left navigation onto "support" or go directly to http://www.novell.com/products/suselinux/support/activation.html -- Dr. Martin Sommer Product Manager Consumer Products SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstraße 5, D-90409 Nürnberg Phone: +49 (0) 911 740 530 Fax: +49 (0) 911 740 53 575 Email: martin.sommer@suse.com ----------------------------------------------------------

Licence key? I wasn't aware that SUSE sells license keys like shareware? What additional functionality does one get by getting a licence key?

I know that one gets installation support with payment, but calling the payment identification as a licence key is misleading, IMO, since it harks back to the shareware world. Calling it a support key is better, IMO. Shriramana.

We call it a registration key, as far as I know

Currently we call it "registration code" -- Dr. Martin Sommer Product Manager Consumer Products SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstraße 5, D-90409 Nürnberg Phone: +49 (0) 911 740 530 Fax: +49 (0) 911 740 53 575 Email: martin.sommer@suse.com ----------------------------------------------------------

Did I miss something? How long have you been working for Novell?
Since December 2004

What's up with that, Randall? You didn't notice Anders new gig?! You're usually the eagle-eyed one! BTW, "Hi!" and congrats, Anders! :-) I've been meaning to send that since I first noticed, but you know how it is... regards, - Carl

Thanks. But that escaped me 'til just today.

I do recall Anders saying that his strategy was to make a name for himself as a SuSE expert to get a paying gig for someone with a specific need for such expertise. I guess it worked better than he intended. And yes, congratulations, Anders.
