[SLE] where are the X11 header files? how to I compile vim with GUI support?
I am trying to compile vim 5.6 with X support. I am running configure with the options of " --enable-max-features --with-x". The output is always: checking for xmkmf... (cached) /usr/X11R6/bin/xmkmf checking for X... (cached) no checking if X11 header files can be found... no checking --enable-gui argument... no GUI support checking quality of toupper... good Well, what package do I need to install? It is driving me nuts, in the past I had been able to get vim to compile with GUI support, but no more. I am running SuSE 6.3. Looks like xdevel isn't installed. Ciao, Stefan -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

Well, I do have xdevel installed. Any other reasons why configure cannot find the header files? Sam -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

You need to install the xdevel.rpm. Victor Cardona On Sun, Oct 01, 2000 at 10:02:18AM -0400, Sam Carleton wrote:
