** I've lived in the real world enough, we're all here because we aint all there ** Okay, my husband did a nice clean install of 9.1 on his emachine w/ no problems at all ... and only one minor irritation. At some point when he was getting ready to add some software to his drive, he put the 9.1 dvd in the drive and was opening yast2 so he could do the install/remove software, and while he had his attention clamped upon the yast2 window another window popped up and said Suse had discovered a data dvd in the drive and would he like Suse to open the drive now and any other time the player noticed a data disk. W/o reading , nor even thinking anything about it at all; he clicked the "yes" button. And that is a problem. one) it makes an annoying noise when it does this, as it happens at the same time he is ( usually) attempting to install new software from the dvd, or copy something from one of his own data disks. I've looked everywhere I can think of w/ no luck... anyone of you wonderful wizzards have a suggestion , or perhaps a really good way to do a search on google that will give me a result??? HELP!! Please!! -- j -- nemo me impune lacessit it's just an afterthought; okay ? : Not enough is being done for the apathetic.

This is the SusePlugger applet in the system tray. Right click on it and choose configure then you can tell it not to run at start up. Then shut it down and your woes will end. You might do the same with SuSEwatcher in the same place too. Dylan -- "I see your Schwartz is as big as mine" -Dark Helmet
