On my dual boot system with WinXP and SuSE10.0, I have replaced my monitor, as it was losing it's contrast. I already disposed of it. Now connecting newer monitors, I get the message from these monitors, that they are out of range when I want to boot up SuSE10.0 I can boot up WinXP, and also SuSE in safe mode. How do I change my SuSE setting during this safe mode so I can boot up SuSE again? I don't know where I can find the settings for that. Thanks in advance, Frits Wüthrich

1) Boot your system to the initial grub screen.... Where it asks to boot 10.0 2) Press ESC and answer OK to leave graphics mode. 3) Place your cursor on the 10.0 boot line of grub and press 'e' (for edit) 4) Place your cursor on the kernel line of the 10.0 boot entry in grub and press 'e' 5) Add a '3' at the end of that line (without the quotes) and press ENTER. 6) Press 'b' to boot This will boot your system into init level 3. 7) Login as root 8) Enter sax2 -l This should bring up sax2 in low resolution mode where you can change your settings.
