I've installed the KDE 2.2beta1 packages, but one problem I have is the right way to update the KDEDIR variable. Some exploration has shown me that it's defined in /etc/SuSEconfig/profile, but that file is labelled "do not edit". For KDE2 it should point to /opt/kde2, not /opt/kde. Is there a better way to fix it than a direct edit? Paul
/etc/SuSEconfig/profile

To repeat the question: since /etc/SuSEconfig/profile is labelled "do not edit", what file should be edited to fix it? Paul
/etc/profile.local

Oops. Hit send before I was finished. To finish my thought: you can also
place a copy in ~/.bashrc. It will run as you login and overwrite kdedir.
