What is the command that shows what your IP address is, so I can check to see if my DHCP server is working correctly? (The Linux equivalent of W$ NT ipconfig command). Harry G.

Try ifconfig also check out route, netstat The netstat is more "featureful" than NT so it will take some getting used to just see the man pages for each of the utilities, its pretty basic also you have some other useful tools like nslookup someip dig someip hth rob Harry Giles wrote:
