If you mean the Logitech Quickcam basic, here's my very recent experience. I got one, got it to work, sort of: quality was really poor, fps very low. Swapped it for a Philips Toucam (not XS, which won't work): great quality, easy setup. Only caveat: image is mirrored (left to right). It seems possible to flip it by piping the uotput through imagemagick perl module. check http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/ FXF -- ______________________ Courtesy of SuSE Linux

The XS is working but only in black-white. The color are desabled by default because of the poor quality (it is possible to enable it). They say at they are working on the driver to solve this problem so soon as possible. The Toucam are great and cheap. You must have a fast computer because at it's no decompression in the webcam, it's because they are so cheap for the picture quality. The Logitech are pretty good too, but it will cost you more money for the same picture quality. If you don't have a fast processor or if you need speed to something else, you must have a Logitech. I have a PIII 850MHz and a Toucam is working very nicely with it, even in full screen and i can use Mozilla and 2-3 other programs at the same time . Dominique
