Under opensuse 10.2 64 bit version, I was able to download mplayer with the w32 codec and plugin. Under firefox, I was able to hear some of the radio streaming with no problem. Under open suse 10.3 I downloaded he same packages but now the radio streaming does not seem to work. It just sits there and does nothing. Has anyone been successful in getting mplayer to do the radio streaming or other programs. mplayerplug-in-3.45-0.pm.2 MPlayer-1.0rc2-1.pm.1 w32codec-all-20071007-0.pm.1 -- Joseph Loo jloo@acm.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I saw that you have not got any response. In the meantime I observed the same issue in 32-bit version of openSUSE 10.3 with different players (VLC and Amarok). I just went to http://opensuse-community.org/codecs-kde.ymp and installed most of what it suggested. (Strange enough, it re-installs the packages that have already been installed). But anyway it solved the problem for me, now radio (shoutcast) steaming works in both VLC and Amarok. There is similar procedure for Gnome. -- Mark Goldstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
