[opensuse] upgrade 12.2 - applydeltarpm failed, rpmdbNextIterator: skipping h#
I just ran an upgrade of a 12.2 system, and noticed these messages: Retrieving: Mesa-8.0.4-20.11.1_20.23.1.x86_64.drpm ......[done] Applying delta: ./Mesa-8.0.4-20.11.1_20.23.1.x86_64.drpm .....[error] ----> applydeltarpm failed. Retrieving: Mesa-8.0.4-20.23.1.x86_64.rpm .......[done (3.4 MiB/s)] [snip] Retrieving package gpg2-2.0.19-2.4.1.x86_64 (8/22), 1.1 MiB ( 3.8 MiB unpacked) ----> error: rpmdbNextIterator: skipping h# 769 hdr SHA1: BAD, not hex The upgrade appears to have worked though. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (24.4°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
The apply delta failure seems harmless, as it promptly installed the full Mesa package. Probably you had a slightly different Mesa than the delta was intended for. But the last one looks like a packaging error, and I would look into that more closely. Perhaps a separate install of that would work. Per Jessen <per@computer.org> wrote:

Hi, This is probably due to the fact that we had to retract the old Mesa update due to some incorrect checksums and redoing it. So the intermediate checksums are not matching. gpg2 should however not make this problem. Ciao, Marcus On Thu, Jun 20, 2013 at 09:30:29AM -0700, John Andersen wrote:
